Welcome to the Educators Retired Club of The Villages website!
We meet the second Tuesday of every month, except June, July, & August, 1:30 PM, at the Canal Street Recreation Center. Our club is social in nature and supportive of local school children. It is open to anyone living in The Villages who has had a career in education or an education related field. Meetings are informative and fun including annual "field trips." Annual dues are $10.00.
Once you become a member we hope that you will create a Member Profile which other club members can read and enjoy. We encourage you to get involved with the club by volunteering to assist with our programs and activities, which will make your membership and personal connections with other members all the more meaningful. Our "Baclk to School" meeting on September 8 marked the start of our 2026-27 Club year. An enthusiastic group of club members were delighted to see their friends again and to participate in special programs. A presentation and discussion of 9/11 began the meeting and members shared their personal and professional recollections of that day. We have all vowed to "NEVER FORGET".
Following the refreshment break,we watched how West Des Moines School District began their school year for staff with a creative and upbeat musical production. Unfortunately we were unable to show it on the large screen, so if you want to see it again, or if you missed the opportunity-here is the link:

ER Member Jack Ciotti featured in The Villages Magazine!
The July issue of The Villages Magazine features a wonderful article and photos of Jack Ciotti's passion for history, education and memorabilia! Jack has done several presentations to our club and others in The Villages about the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, as well as performances in several historical movies.

ER CLUB SHIRTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE!
Show your pride in your profession and your club membership! Specially designed tee shirts and polo shirts are available with our ER Club logo from Custom Apparel at their Southern Trace and Middleton locations. The shirts are available in a variety of colors, styles and fabrics. It is suggested that you go in person to choose your shirt, as there are many options. Just tell them that you are ordering a shirt for the Educators Retired Club-they have our logo on file.The cost is approximately $30.The Club does not benefit financially from the sales-it is just a fun way to show support and advertise the Club to fellow Villagers!
