Welcome to the Educators Retired Club of The Villages website!

We meet the second Tuesday of every month,  except June, July, & August, 1:30 PM, at the Canal Street Recreation Center.  Our club is social in nature and supportive of local school children.  It is open to anyone living in The Villages who has had a career in education or an education related field.  Meetings are informative and fun including annual "field trips."  Annual dues are $10.00.

Once you become a member we hope that you will create a Member Profile which other club members can read and enjoy. We encourage you to get involved with the club by volunteering to assist with our programs and activities, which will make your membership and personal connections with other members all the more meaningful. For more information, please contact Toba Knobel or Eileen Connolly, Co-Presidents. You can find our contact information on the OFFICERS page.

Teacher Talk, our informal get-together at Panera at Lake Sumter, has been temporarily suspended until after the holidays. Stay tuned to this website for further information.

Our December meeting, scheduled for December 12, will be our Annual Holiday Luncheon at The Legacy Restaurant at Nancy Lopez Country Club. As of our November meeting,  this event is sold out.

Please plan to join us at our next meeting on Tuesday, January 9, 2024

Wishing all of our members a very Happy Holiday season!

Toba and Eileen

Congratulations to our ER Club member Jack Ciotti!

The John Bartram Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution has awarded the DAR America 250! Commendation medal and certificate to Jack Ciotti of The Villages.

This commendation recognizes individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary efforts to honor the men and women who achieved American independence and also educate others about their service and sacrifice.

Jack has presented historical programs for our club and many other clubs in our community and participates in historical events throughout Central Florida.  He helped form the Early American History Club seven years ago and continues to serve on its steering committee.

Jack  taught history at the middle school level in his professional career and continues to teach about America’s founding as a substitute teacher at The Villages Elementary Charter School and at The Enrichment Academy in The Villages.
