Welcome to the Educators Retired Club of The Villages website.

We meet the second Tuesday of every month,  except June, July, & August, 1:30 PM, at the Canal Street Recreation Center.  Our club is social in nature and supportive of local school children.  It is open to anyone living in The Villages who has had a career in education or an education related field.  Meetings are informative and fun including two yearly "field trips."  Annual dues are $5.00.

Once you become a member we hope that you will create a Member Profile which club members can read and enjoy.

Greetings to all ER Club Members!

As we approach the start of the “school year”, we were looking forward to our annual pilgrimage to purchase school supplies and planning tools for our upcoming year. Well, not only are we retired and not in need of supplies, we are unable to join with our retired colleagues to reminisce about the start of the school year. This year, many of us are relieved that we are retired and not stressing about teaching in this new Covid world.

Unfortunately, as the virus has not subsided in our area, the Recreation Department has limited operation of the Lifestyle Groups that meet in the Rec Centers.

At this time, all Lifestyle Clubs are postponed until further notice.

The ER Club meeting for September is, therefore, cancelled.

The Board has decided to cancel our 2020 holiday luncheon at Belle Glade due to the challenges of the virus.

Information about future meetings will be posted here as we are given additional direction from The Villages.

We are anxious to get together as soon as possible, but we also are keenly aware of the potential risks involved. We hope that we can reconvene safely at some point this fall.

In the meantime. stay safe and healthy!

Eileen & Toba
