Welcome to the Educators Retired Club of The Villages website.

We meet the second Tuesday of every month,  except June, July, & August, 1:30 PM, at the Canal Street Recreation Center.  Our club is social in nature and supportive of local school children.  It is open to anyone living in The Villages who has had a career in education or an education related field.  Meetings are informative and fun including two yearly "field trips."  Annual dues are $5.00.

Once you become a member we hope that you will create a Member Profile which club members can read and enjoy.

Warmer springtime greetings to all ER Club members!

The next general meeting of the Educators Retired Club will be Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 1:30pm at the Canal Street Recreation Center.

I would like to call your attention to the following:

  • Dues.  Annual dues in the amount of $5.00 were due and payable in January.  If you received a notice of delinquency after our March meeting, please plan to pay your 2018 dues at the April meeting.  We can only accept cash or checks made payable to "ER Club."
  • ER Club Website.  If you have not already done so, please complete your member profile on our ER Club Website at  Our goal is to have 100 dues paying members with completed profiles by summer break!
  • 1st & 2nd Grade Book Donations Needed.  Thank you for your generous book donations last month.  The Media Center at Rimes Early Learning & Literacy Center is still in need of age appropriate books for 1st & 2nd grade students.  The red crates will be available for your book donations at the April meeting.
  • "Wish List " Items.  Please don't forget to bring your donations of items  listed on the Rimes Early Learning & Literacy Center "Wish List" which I sent out on March 28.  Penney White will be collecting those items.
  • Honor Flight Letters.  There is a regular Honor Flight scheduled for May 23 and a flightless Honor Flight scheduled for June 23.  Please take a couple of moments to prepare a card or write a letter thanking a veteran, who will participate in these events, for their service to our country.  A basket for the collection of your letters will be available at the check-in table.
  • Program.  This month, our speaker will be Esther Solin who will discuss the mentoring program "Taking Stock in Children".
